In Sub Saharan Africa over 11 million children leave school before completing primary education. Girls are less likely to begin school. Children living in rural environments are twice as likely to be out of school.  In developing and low income countries every additional year of education can increase future earnings. And when a girl in the developing world receives seven or more years of education she marries four years later and has 2.2 fewer children.
